For body
On size 8 needles, C / O 32
Row 1 - k
Row 2 - sl 1, p
Row 3 - sl 1, k
Repeat row 2 and 3 in order until piece measures 5.5”
Begin Decrease (Dec.) on a knit row.
Dec. Row 1 - sl 1, k3, k2tog, [k4, k2tog]* repeat until end of row. Knit leftover
stitches

Dec. Row 3 - sl 1 k2, k2tog, [k3, k2tog]* repeat until end of row. Knit leftover
stitches.

Using the same color D U Q D Q G W D S H V W U needle, line up and sew the seam
from the top point to the bottom using the mattress stitch . Leave the bottom
open. (Don’t worr L I W K H W R S R I W K H K H D G L V S R L Q W , it will round out when R u
stuff it with fiber fill.)
Stuff bod Z L W K I L E H U I L O O .
With the seam in the center back, stitch the bottom seam closed with same
color D U Q D Q G W D S H V W U needle, closing the bod .
To make the head, use same color D U Q D Q G W D S H V W U needle to weave a piece
of D U Q X Q G H U D Q G R Y H U W K H V W L W F K H V D U R X Q G W K H E R G 3 ½” down from the top

center. Start the woven line at the center back seam, once all the wa D U R X Q G ,
pull tight to form head. Tie off. Weave in ends.
For Ears • Make two
On size 8 needles, C / O 10
Row 1 - k
Row 2 - k2, p until last 2 stitches, k2
Row 3 - k
Repeat Row 2 and 3 until piece measures 2”
Begin Ear Decrease Row (Dec. Row) on a knit row.
Dec. Row 1 - k2, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k2
Dec. Row 2 - k2, p until last 2 stitches, k2
Dec. Row 3 - k2, k2tog, k2tog, k2
Dec. Row 4 - k2, purl until last 2 stitches, k2

With purl side facing, fold top ¼” of ear over and tack down. Do the same with
the bottom ¼” and tack down with same color D U Q X V L Q J D W D S H V W U needle.
Sew onto sides of the head 1 ½” from top of head on both sides, using the
whip stitch. Tie off, weave in ends.
For shawl
On size 10 ½ needles, C / O 32
Row 1 - k
Row 2 - sl 1, p
Row 3 - sl 1, k
Repeat row 2 and 3 until piece measures 5 ½” from cast on edge.
Bind off
For Sleeves • Make two
On size 8 needles, C / O 8 with bod arn.
Row 1 - k
Row 2 - sl 1, p
Row 3 - sl 1, k
Row 4 - sl 1, p

Repeat row 5 and 6 until piece measures 2” from cast on edge.
Roll each sleeve lengthwise. Using tapestr Q H H G O H X V H W K H O D G G H U V W L W F K W o
catch the edge and form the rolled sleeve. Note that one of the edges will be
rolled up inside the sleeve, like a fruit roll-up.
Attach the arms to the shawl on knit side using thread and sewing needle.
Place each one 2 ½” from the side and 2 ¼” down from the top as shown

Attach the shawl to the bod ) R O G W K H W R S R Y H U W R F R Y H U W R S D U P V H D P V .
