On size 8 needles, C / O 32
Row 1 - k
Row 2 - sl 1, p
Row 3 - sl 1, k
Repeat row 2 and 3 in order until piece measures 5.5”
Begin Decrease (Dec.) on a knit row.
Dec. Row 1 - sl 1, k3, k2tog, [k4, k2tog]* repeat until end of row. Knit leftover
stitches

Fold the bodLQKDOIOHQJWKZLVH.
Using the same color DUQDQGWDSHVWU needle, line up and sew the seam
from the top point to the bottom using the ​mattress stitch ​. Leave the bottom
open. (Don’t worrLIWKHWRSRIWKHKHDGLVSRLQW, it will round out when Ru
stuff it with fiber fill.)
Stuff bodZLWKILEHUILOO.
With the seam in the center back, stitch the bottom seam closed with same
color DUQDQGWDSHVWU needle, closing the bod.
To make the head, use same color DUQDQGWDSHVWU needle to weave a piece
of DUQXQGHUDQGRYHUWKHVWLWFKHVDURXQGWKHERG 3 ½” down from the top

center. Start the woven line at the center back seam, once all the waDURXQG,
pull tight to form head. Tie off. Weave in ends.

For Ears • Make two
On size 8 needles, C / O 10
Row 1 - k
Row 2 - k2, p until last 2 stitches, k2
Row 3 - k
Repeat Row 2 and 3 until piece measures 2”
Begin Ear Decrease Row (Dec. Row) on a knit row.
Dec. Row 1 - k2, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k2
Dec. Row 2 - k2, p until last 2 stitches, k2
Dec. Row 3 - k2, k2tog, k2tog, k2
Dec. Row 4 - k2, purl until last 2 stitches, k2

With purl side facing, fold top ¼” of ear over and tack down. Do the same with

Sew onto sides of the head 1 ½” from top of head on both sides, using the
whip stitch. Tie off, weave in ends.
For shawl
On size 10 ½ needles, C / O 32
Row 1 - k
Row 2 - sl 1, p
Row 3 - sl 1, k
Repeat row 2 and 3 until piece measures 5 ½” from cast on edge.
Bind off
For Sleeves • Make two
On size 8 needles, C / O 8 with bodarn.
Row 1 - k
Row 2 - sl 1, p
Row 3 - sl 1, k
Row 4 - sl 1, p

Repeat row 5 and 6 until piece measures 2” from cast on edge.
Roll each sleeve lengthwise. Using tapestrQHHGOHXVHWKHODGGHUVWLWFKWo
catch the edge and form the rolled sleeve. Note that one of the edges will be
rolled up inside the sleeve, like a fruit roll-up.
Attach the arms to the shawl on knit side using thread and sewing needle.
Place each one 2 ½” from the side and 2 ¼” down from the top as shown
.
Attach the shawl to the bod)ROGWKHWRSRYHUWRFRYHUWRSDUPVHDPV.
