I designed these booties for babies up to 6 months, who cannot walk or crawl yet. This kind of colorful
and playful bootie can help interest a child with his/her f eet, which is why their mouths are directed
upwards. The overall size of the finished bootie is 10 cm, so as to fit the different sizes of children's feet,
between 0 and 6 months.
Materials:
Beige , red, blue, black, white yarn
Black , wh ite material for eyes and brows
3 mm crochet hook
Bootie pattern
R1 : 6 sc in MR (6)

R2: inc around (12)

R3: inc 2, sc 2, inc 4, sc 2, inc 2 (20)

R4 : inc 3, sc 4, inc 6, sc 4, inc 3 (32)

R5 : - R16: sc around (32)

R17 : sc 31, ss (32)
Finish of f after row 17 of the pattern and mark
the place, back up 4 stitches and start a new row
at this point with red/blue yarn.

R18: sc 24 (24)

R19: turn and sc 24 (24) change yarn to white

R20 - R21: turn and sc 24 (24) change yarn to red/blue

R22 - R23: turn and s c 24 (24) change yarn to white)

R24: turn and sc 24 (24)

R25: sc 3, dec, sc 14, dec, sc 3 (22) change yarn to red/blue

R26: sc 3, dec, sc 12, dec, sc 3 (20)

R27: sc 3, dec, sc 10, dec, sc 3 (18) change yarn to white

Ear - make 2 for each bootie (beige yarn)

Eye patch - make 1 for each bootie (black yarn)

R2: turn ; sc in 2 nd from hook, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, ss. FO

Hands - make 2 for each bootie (beige yarn)

R2: starting from t he second ch from the hook make sc 3 (3)

( after the se steps you should have 3 fingers like on the right side of the picture below )
R7: turn and sc 4, ss (5) FO - I make one sc on top of the first finger from the hook, sc 2 in the second
finger, sc and ss in the third one. )

Arms - make 2 for each bootie (beige yarn)
R1: 8 ch (8)
R2: sc 7 starting from the second chain from the hook
R3: turn an d sc 7 on the other side of the chain from R1, FO
(All parts ready, I suggest you sew nose and hand and arms first, the n ears. From black fabric cut and
sew one eye and two eyebrows. At the end sew an eye patch o n the missing eye place [Apparently ,
pirates did not wear eye patches to hide empty eye sockets, instead they covered one eye , so that when
they went below deck an d removed the eye pa tch they could see in the dark]
PS. Sew on every part very careful ly and firmly, no element should protrude or be able to come off if
strongly pulled, especially if a baby puts feet in their mouth to chew on feet.
