Notes for following my patterns:
- To make this amigurumi it isn’t necessary to use the recommended yarn weight
and crochet hook. Using a larger crochet hook, and a suitable yarn, the amigurumi
will be larger preserving the same proportions .
-The pattern is worked using the amigurumi method. Work in a continuous spiral
without closing off the rounds with a sl st. I t may help to use a stitch marker in the
first stitch of each round, moving it up as you work. You can use different colored
yarn fo r stitch markers. Just place it into the first stitch of every round .
-Construction: body and head are worked as one piece starting from the bottom ,
arms will be sewed to the body.
-Alternative for magic ring: Make chain 2. Work X number of sc in first cha in.
-I did Not stuff the arms, but it’s totally up to you.
- Because of the big volume of the finishing doll, I recommend to make the body
first , then the upper dress, the skirt, skirt edging, skirt decoration, then sew the
arms to the body, make th e face expression and the hair , and finally close the
skirt by sewing the bottom to it ..I n order .

** You can replace each Round of Linked stitch round with 4 rounds of sc + 1
round of sc in Blo

How to make linked stitch
To make first linked stitch, ch 5
1-I nsert your hook in the second chain from the hook and pull up a loop, then
insert your hook into the third chain from the hook and pull up a loop, then insert
your hook into the fourth chain from the hook and pull up a loop, then insert your
hook into the same st (where we slst .) and pull up a lo op.

2- YO (yarn over) and pull through two loops, yo and pull through two more loops,
yo and pull through two more loops, yo and pull through two more loops , yo and
pull through the final two loops on the hook.
You have just completed the first linked stitch stitch.

3- To start the next stitch, insert your hook under the horizontal bar and pull up a
loop, insert your hook under the next horizontal bar and pull up a loop, and insert
your hook under the final horizontal bar and pull up a loop, then inser t your hook
into the next st and pull up a loop.

4-Finish the stitch in the same manner as step 2 by doing
YO (yarn over) and pull through two loops, yo and pull through two more loops,
yo and pull through two more loops, yo and pull through two more lo ops , yo and
pull through t he final two loops on the hook.

Then insert your hook into the fourth chain
from the hook and pull up a loop

Then insert your hook into the same st
(where we slst.) and pull up a loop

and pull up a loop, insert your hook under the next
horizontal bar and pull up a loop then

I nsert your hook under the final

Rnd 4: ch5, Linked stitch in all sts across, sl sto the first st . (108st)
Rnd 5: (dc 20, inc) repeat 5, dc 2 , inc in last st , slst to first st (11 4st)
Rnd 6: ch5, linked stitch in all sts across, slst in the end of each round (114st)
Rnd 9 to Rnd 13: repeat round 6 until .*total of 5 rounds *
Or until your dress reach your desired length.
Sew the dress back as shown.

Edging: Hold the doll upside -down
In FLO at Rnd 13 (if you make more Rnds join yarn in last Rnd in FLO )

(sc1, skip 3 sts, 7tr in same stitch, skip 3) Repeat across
End with skip 2 st, slst to first sc, cut the yarn, fasten off

12

Skirt decoration
to make the ruffles, join the yarn at the back.
For the first raffle only , join the yarn at the f irst loop of the linked stitch
For the reaming raffle , join the yarn at the last loop of the linked stitch
if you made (sc Rnds instead of 1 Rnd of linked stitch) join the yarn at the Flo of
the last sc Rnd.
To make the Ruffle : ch3 , (3 tr in same st , 2 tr in next st )repeat across , slst at
the 1st ch of ch3 , cut the yarn and fasten off .

The pink doll is an old version for this doll , I made a treble crochet
stitches instead of Linked stitch , but the filling can easily get out,
so if you want to the same ruffles looks , add 2 ruffles to each
linked stitch ( at the horizontal bar and third horizontal bar ), and
replace all the tr in each ruffle with dc .

13

You c an sew hands to the body now .

Eyes: count 7 Rnds from the top, place your eyes with 3 stitch space between
each other’s

Come up as close as you can get to the pupil and go down about 1/4’’ out.
Continue all the way around the eye, making each stitch as close as you
can get to the previous one so that none of the crochet fabric shows.

Simplest ways to make the eyes.

Nose: at Rnd 9 from the top, with skin color , make a few stiches
Mouth: 1 Rnd below the nose with red yarn.

14

Hair : at Rnd 4 from the top .
Use any type of yarn you want, I used sewing yarn with couple of strands each
time.
I recommend if you use thicker yarn, use one strand of yarn each time .

Cut some strands of yarn each measuring about 20 cm long (or your desired length)
Follow the pictures.

Cont. adding the hair until
all the head covered with hair

15

Bottom: in dress color
Rnd 1: sc6 in MR (6st)
Rnd 2: inc. in all sts across (12st)
Rnd 3: dc inc . in all sts across (24st)
Rnd 4: (dc 1, inc.) repeat 12 times (36st)

Rnd 8 : (dc20 , inc ) repeat 5 times , dc 2 , inc in last st (114st)
Rnd 8: dc across (114st )

Leave about 45 cm / 17.7’’ tail to sew the bottom to the
skirt , cut the yarn and fasten off .
Sew it in the BLO o n the last round of the skirt
I n half way start to put the filling to make the dress puff

**difference of color to show the pics better.

I nsert the needle in BLO
of the skirt and into both
loop of the bottom

The remaining Front Loop of the skirt ’s Rnd is the
loop where we ma de the shell edging into it.

16

Rnd 12: sc in Blo (36st)

Rnd 13: dc 3 times in same st. repeat in all sts across, slst 4 times to get a clean
finishing.

If you want the hat to be bigger replace all dc
with treble crochet as the yellow one ;)

17

Mandalas: make 3
You can use any Mandala pattern, but here’s what I used to this doll
Rnd 1: in MR, ch3 count as stitch, then dc 11 time, slst into the top of ch3 at the
beginning (12st)
Rnd 2: ch3, dc in same place, dc twice in all sts across, slst to the top of ch3 at the
beginning (24st)
Rnd 3: ch 3, make puff stitch, (ch4, skip 1 st, Puff stitch in next st) repeat 11 times,
ch4, slst into the first puff st
Rnd 4: slst into the ch4 space of previous round, ( {sc1, dc4 times, sc in same
space } ) repeat in all ch4 spaces across.
Cut the yarn and fasten off.

Rnd1

Rnd2 make the slst with new color then ch 3

Rnd3 : To make the puff stitch
Yarn over (yo), insert the hook in the stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn
over, and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook.
In the same stitch, repeat the pr evious step twice. You should have 4 loops on your hook

To finish this Rnd , ch4 , slst with the new col or .

Rnd4: slst in ch4 space, sc1, dc4 times, sc in
same space .

slst to first sc , cut
the yarn , fasten off
then wave all ends .
